It may be cold outside, but why not look at how you can support your skin from the inside out this summer by eating foods that will offer protection.
Carotenoids are potent antioxidants that can protect your skin from light damage. They are mainly found in brightly coloured fruit and vegetables with yellow, orange and red pigments like carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, squash, peppers, peaches and apricots. Adding fat to your meal helps with the absorption of carotenoids. For a meal bursting with carotenoids try baked red peppers stuffed with a mixture of cherry tomatoes, brown rice, basil and olive oil. Always keep in mind that UV rays can slow down any progress made and reverse improvements in some conditions. That is why covering the area is a good idea. Perrins blend is normally used to treat specific lesions or spots and the best results are often seen when the area being treated is in constant contact with the blend 24 hours a day. This doesn’t always make it easy when you are out and about, so that’s where Creme complete comes in. It is easy to use and easily absorbed into the skin, with no need for any dressings. However, if your condition is widespread, you may also want to consider wearing light clothing to prevent your skin being exposed to the rays. |
